Matos was winning 3-2, with 1:02 left in the second round, when he fell to the mat after being hit by his opponent, Kazakhstan's Arman Chilmanov. Matos was sitting there, awaiting medical attention, when he was disqualified for taking too much injury time. Fighters get one minute, and Matos was disqualified when his time ran out.

saw it this morning. sucks because he was winning but the ref was clearly letting him know how much time was left and a rule is a rule.

I'm glad he didn't win after that showing... There's more talk about Usain bolt "showboating" antics that this story which is so wrong.

There are 3 reasons there has been more talk surrounding Usain Bolt's antics:

1) Usain started his antics 4 or 5 days before this Tae Kwon Do incident occurred.

2) There is NO DEBATE that what this guy from Cuba did is considered wrong. You don't kick an official of ANY sport in the face.

3) There is a lot more visibility to Olympic Track & Field as opposed to Tae Kwon Do. Tae Kwon Do was never shown in prime time.
