Smile Install of ATMOS Ceiling speakers.

Hey all hope you are all good.....
I have been trying to get an ATMOS set up [7.1.4] installed for a while now, so found time to start, I am installing just 2 at the moment, it is interesting to read that many do not know how to install or which way to go as far as ceiling/up firing or what ever, it is overwhelming trying to decide which way to go, and most recommendations for the best ATMOS is ceiling speakers, unfortunately for most this just is not an option, firstly cutting holes in the ceiling, AND you need to make sure placement is correct, and even when that is figured out, you could end up finding joists in the way, and these can not be tampered with in any way, so what other options are there, well for me I decided to drop a false ceiling section, basically an enclosed box, I don't mind DIY I have done this for many years now, and carried out all improvements at home, so I am lucky in that respect, for many though this is not an option either, some do not like DIY or can not do it....personally it is a shame that so much work and cost has to go into a new surround system [ATMOS] just for effects, but I guess it is what it is, anyway I thought I would take images of my progress from start to finish of making a speaker box..[for want of a better word] but basically it is a section the width of our lounge and fixed either end into studs, and secured into the joists above [ceiling joists], I understand that some may well ask why go to so much trouble just for 2 ceiling speakers, if I can do this, then why not just stick them in the ceiling, and that is a good point, well the simple answer is I try to be different, make something of nothing really...if that makes sense, I have always thought if I do something do it different, and seeing as there is a fair bit of work involved...[labour] then make it cool.....So I am having some issues with uploading images so thought I would give a heads up what I am doing, and just explain how and what I am doing, so I hope you enjoy and helps In some way, I am happy to answer any questions, materials wise just MDF and treated timber, plaster board, adhesive, time and effort that's it really, so once I can get these images up, I will explain as I go, so please bare with me....
