Today I had to stick my old LG TV that I purchased last year into my other room to make room for my slick new panny plasma. I proceed to re-set the playstation 3 up and it tells me that the maximum resolution is 1080p. My question is, will the playstation tell you that the maximum resolution is 1080p for any reason if the TV is only 720p? I have a 1080i projector downstairs and the other PS3 has no problem telling me the max resolution is 1080i, and same with my smaller junky 720p downstairs.
The reason I ask this is because I purchased this TV before I really knew ANYTHING about HDTVs. I went to the store, saw the prettiest picture, and I bought it. After learning about HDTVs I naturally assumed that I picked up the LG 42LC7D, but after throwing everything out including the owners manual and box, I don't know?! |
