I predict the Rays will have 15,000 fans at their playoff games...

13,000 in last night's home win. How bad is that? It's late August and no one at the games for their first place team.

But yeah I agree... LAA will likely win the WS. Would love to see the Brewers or Cubs win though.

Chicago VS Chicago WS would be cool as well.

The NL is really up for grabs though. The Marlins, Mets and Phillies all could win the East.

The Cubs will win the Central.

The Dbacks, Dodgers and here come the Rockies again, all have a legit shot IMO at the West

The Cardinals still can make the wild card.

Right now half of the NL still has a shot at making the playoffs.

The AL is pretty much set in stone other than the Twins/ChiSox.

there is no way the indians are coming back and if they do they will win the central, not the WC.

They are 12 game back in the WC, only 10.5 in the Central.

yeah, but for them to win the WC, they have to outplay Texas, BoSox, Yankees and either the ChiSox or Twins.

To win the Central, they just gotta out play the ChiSox and Twins.

Plus they are a full 1.5 G ahead of winning the Central.

If they would pull a Colorado, they will win the Central, not the WC, but it won't happen. However, I would absolutely love to see Ozzie Guillen's reaction to losing to the Cleveland Indians.

Only way Ozzie would handle that was if he were on meds.. other than that.. it is going to be

The Indians just own the Yanks..(as long as they still have chokerod) and have been the only team that even gives Boston a run for the money when it really counts.

Cliff Lee for president!

Negative.

The Toronto Bluejays have the best record against the Boston Redsox in MLB since 2005. The Jays own the Sox.

I agree with everthing the op has except for the AL central. I saw the White Sox will win the central because of the Twins troubles on the road (they are on a long road trip as we speak). Also, I believe the Cubs will come out of the NL because the own the Beer Makers (Brewers).

Well, Im from St. Louis, so its litterly inconceivable in everybody's minds down here that the Cubs can win the Pennant.

Can the Cubs have an awesome year? Yep.
Can the Cubs win the Central? Yep.
Can the Cubs win a Playoff Series? yep.
Can the Cubs win the Pennant? No way. There is a curse. Should've let the Billy Goat into Wrigley.

But this time they have Rich Harden (played at my JUCO incidentally at CAC), who, if he continues to pitch the way he does...will be lights out in the playoffs. Just need Zambrano to step up his game, and for Ted Lilly to break into one of his win binges. Anything can happen. Actually, I'm an O's fan, but I'll be rootin for the cubbies to see the curse go down.

On the American League side...I just don't see anyone other than the Angels, they appear to be too strong.

MIL, meh. If Sheets can stay healthy and return to top form with Sabbathia, maybe, but I wouldn't count on it.

It would be interesting if the Sox made it too from the AL...a nice Chicago showdown. If the Cubs win, we'd see Ozzie Guillen go into a fit of terets.

I hope not... battle of the teams with no fans. I still can't believe that a team in first place, esp in the AL East can not draw more than 13,000 fans in a mid week ball game. Anywhere else, sell outs galore!

They aren't much of a draw anywhere. I was able to get four free promotion ($44) seats in the 200 level for an upcoming Jays/Rays game.

Cliff Lee is a mortal lock at this point with a 19-2 record on a sub .500 team. I predict the World Series will end up being the Cubs versus the White Sox with the White Sox taking it in six games. And no one should count out Colorado to win the NL West as that division is plain awful.
