Some of you have probably come across these little clip-on magnates that came with…maybe your display? Question is, do you use them? I have been using them for years, and while there effect may not be very pronounced, it is one more step in cleaning up the signal.
For those who don’t know, they clip onto analog cables and are supposed to help curtail RF interference. I use them on my analog and digital cables, as well as speaker cables and power cables in my home & car system. I even have one on the cable from my bass guitar & amp. Cumulatively, they do make a difference. On a side note, there was thought that clamping one on the fuel line just prior to your carburetor or fuel injectors would increase your gas mileage. This was proven to be false - however, having put on a 1999 Gallant with over 80,000 miles on it, I immediately noticed the engine ran much smoother than before. After trading that car in on a 2006 Camry, I put a magnet on the new car (and my wife’s new car) and both cars run as smoothly as the day we bought them. Something about aligning the hydrocarbons, I think. |
