Hello everyone...im interested in a Blu-ray burner for my PC and would like some expert advice on a good one ...thanks

I believe that the Panasonic burner and its clones (Sony, Plextor) are regarded as the best bet.

There is a LiteOn one that I have no idea about.

The Philips has been spotted at Fry's but I believe no BD50 capability, so that is something to wach for if that interests you in the near future (ie, before you buy you second burner)

Thank you both very much...im hoping to hear more on the upcoming LG models as i find LG to be the best burners i currently use for regular DVD backups .

If you plan to watch Blu-ray movies with it, will need to make sure that the video card is up to the task as well as the CPU etc. If you want just a burner anything should do. Watch out for the for the physical interface as some of the Blu-ray drives use a SATA interface.

i suggest this one becuase it can burn dullayer discs

although i am waiting for atlest 4x speed it will take around 3 hourse to burn 50 gigs
