Default Does Blockbuster charge an extra buck to rent blu ray movies?

I just went to switch my Netflix account to include blu ray and got that pleasant little surprise. Sure, it's only a buck but I'm curious if BB does the same?

Netflix doesn't charge me an extra dollar for including Blu-Rays in my membership.

I'm going to be emailing them about the surcharge. It's only a buck but it reeks of gouging. I'll probably wait till the holidays are over but switch to blockbuster after that.

Plus, Netflix has the 'Watch Instantly' feature.

If you have a PS3, you can stream Netflix and Hulu to your TV! The assortment is quite heavenly!

Yes, but can you bring in your titles to get the next one shipped out instantly? Can you do 5 trade-ins in-store (or more) a month?

It's all dependant on what's the best for you, but if you have a Blockbuster near you I highly recommend it. $19.99 for 3 out at a time with 5 in-store trade-ins, plus any time you check one in to the store they send the next one out that much sooner.

Add a couple of little-known features such as the fact that I still get a free rental each month for "renting" 5 movies that month, and that you can get more than 5 in-store trade-ins a month if you have more than one store near you, and to me it's heads and shoulders above Netflix. It's all dependant on where you live, personally.

I don't think so.

BB has different tiers of service including a whole tier that is mail-only. The mail-only tier prices are almost the same as netflix's the last time I checked.
