PS3 blu-ray region free ?

I know the PS3 isnt a region free player for Blu's... but I was searching online for a possible hack to this problem and found this :

By pushing R1 and the X button over and over again it skips past the "WARNING" screen straight to the Menu of Mr Magoriums wonder emporium... I'm watching it right now....

I don't own any Region B/2 Blu's so I was wondering if someone here tried this "trick" and if it works or not? Or maybe someone can test it out and let us know ?

There are a few movie discs which have a setup where using a combination of buttons or quick timing can circumvent the protection on a disc.

I think the opium kung fu master is one such disc where pressing /\ and top menu on the region lockout screen enables you to bypass it and carry on watching the movie.

It doesn't mean it works for all discs, depends on how the disc is setup.

So it could be a random amount of things hit or is it a different combo from one movie to another?

Is this for real? I tried with a spanish movie and it didn't work.

Only very few movies are like this. A few discs were manufactured incorrectly therefore, this little trick skips past the Region Coding on the disc. DO NOT buy discs from other countries expecting to be able to play them if they are Region Locked as this is NOT a solution. This is merely a by-pass on one or two discs.

it works on the french kill bill discs too.. or was it just the 2nd movie.. cant remember
