Question Disney's Bolt 3D Review up

Bolt 3D Blu-ray

Bolt 3D Blu-ray Review

Disney's Bolt has already been released in a single-disc 3D edition, exclusive with Sony HDTV's. Is it at all likely that the film will be re-released in a 4-disc Blu-ray/Blu-ray 3D/DVD/Digital copy combo, like Disney's more recent/upcoming 3D titles, such as Tangled 3D, The Nightmare Before Christmas 3D, and Cars 2 3D?

I recently found a new and sealed copy of the single-disc 3D editon at a thrift store for only $3.00. I was planning on getting the Blu-ray/DVD/Digital copy combo pack, but now I don't know whether to just sell the 3D editon I found and wait for an eventual 4-disc combo or to "make my own" by keeping the 3D copy and still getting the regular combo.

Also, I don't even have a 3D HDTV yet, but starting with Tangled I've decided to go for the 3D combo packs to prepare for the day when I do have a TV capable of 3D.

Definitely sell the $3 copy you bought.

In fact,... Sell it to me.

I'd say it's probably on its way considering it's already been released as a combo pack overseas, in the UK it only has a 2D blu and a 3D blu and no DVD or DC disc, but at least it's available outside of a bundle...

I'd say spend the very pricey $3, and then if/when Bolt is officially released, just sell it to someone (I'm sure you'll make your $3 back) and buy the official wide release.

3 dollars is a steal! What thrift store did you find it at?

It was my local Goodwill. It's right on my way home from work, so I stop by from time to time to see what they have in the home goods and DVD/CD section. I'd seen Blu-rays there before, including Marley & Me and and Hunt to Kill, but Bolt 3D was the first one that was still sealed!

It was really a coincidence that I found it, I had just been researching prices for the 3 disc combo pack earlier that day. I almost walked right past it since it was sitting on the counter instead of being locked away with the rest of the movies!

Bolt 3D has been announced for general retail release on November 8, 2011. Also on that day, Disney will release Chicken Little 3D, G-Force 3D and Meet the Robinsons 3D. A very expensive day for Disney fans. All movies will be presented in Combo Packs. They will all include Blu-Ray 3D, Blu-Ray 2D and DVD. I believe Bolt will be the only film to include a Digital Copy. Amazon should begin taking pre-orders soon. Artwork is available at the link below:

I was just about to work a trade for Bolt 3D! I think I'm better off waiting. My wallet is going to hurt that day! Passing on G-Force though.

Do you already have Chicken Little, Meet the Robinsons, and/or Bolt on Blu-ray? I'm wondering how many people would be willing to upgrade to the 3D combo pack if they already have the regular one.

My first 3D Blu-ray was Tangled, and I'll get 3D when available from here on out, but I don't think I'm going to re-purchase any of the titles I already own. For me, personally, 3D is an added incentive when making new purchases, but not something I absolutely need to enjoy a film (or warrant a re-purchase).

I'll upgrade MtR and Bolt. I'm the kind of buyer who always says he wont upgrade, but then always cracks and does anyway. I think this will be a first for 3D though. I'm lucky enough to have the funds at the moment, and thinking back, I only bought those two flicks when I found a good deal anyway. The release being a week before my birthday doesnt hurt either.

I actually don't own any of those titles, but I am planning to upgrade my current editions of The Nightmare Before Christmas and Beauty and the Beast when they get released in 3D. I'm not sure if I will do that with other movies that get re-released though.

This is being released alongside Cars 2 right? No info on a Finding Nemo Blu-ray release....dammit! It doesn't seem like it's coming this year.

It was never 3-D in theaters, but I imagine it would be a straightforward conversion (at least, as straightforward as 3-D conversions go) if Pixar were so inclined.
