cnet has theses rated the same. how can you compare the two one is a plasma and one is a led dlp, i dunno. i am not really looking for a clear cut answer but more of your 2 cents. so if any body owns either of these two tvs or has a comment please give it to me. thanks

Hi, I have the 5084 and the a650 which is the same as the 750 except for a few extras. Love them both. the lcd is as close as you can get to the plasma picture. You can't go wrong either way, blu-ray and games look great on both. I would say if you do much gaming you should go lcd just to be safe. Otherwise it is a tough call because they are so close, I guess for a non gamer I would lean slightly plasma. You won't be disappointed either way. Hope this helped.

I had a Samsung HL-T5076, last years model. It had some bowing in the image, more noticeable when there was a straight line going across the bottom. Fortunately I got to exchange it after 11 months, so I ended up going plasma. Maybe theyve remedied some of their DLP issues this year. I believe most of the problem was due to poor cabinet design.

Do not buy a Samsung! I finally got BB to take back my samsung (which was only 8 months old) Samsung refused to even come and take a look at the TV even though it was still under manufacturer warranty! Their customer service is absolutely horrible!

their TV's are good but should anything go wrong with the TV, then good luck trying to get Samsung to stand behind their product! I wish i done more research into Samsung before i purchased the set. consumeraffiars.com has hundreds of pages of complaints against Samsung for poor customer service as does the Better Business Bureau.

Sorry thought that was the lcd. Anyway like I said, the 5084 is out of this world quality but I can't compare it to the dlp.
