Far Cry 2 may look a little smoother on PS3

While this demo didn't show us anything we hadn't seen before, it was an encouraging sign of how the console version is coming along. The developer says that the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC versions have been developed from the same core build, so they'll all share the same features. While we didn't see the PS3 version, it's claimed that the (anti-) aliasing on Sony's machine outperforms that of the 360, while on the PC it's all dependent on the specifications of your machine.

You don't describe 'outperforming' at aliasing so he obviously means AA. Which we like. Hopefully the framerate and everything else looks the same as described, or better.

Last year Criterion said the PS3 performed better simultaneously applying anti-aliasing and the motion blur they're using. At 60fps in the case of Burnout Paradise.

I'm still skeptical until I play it myself (the videos look great though)... just because the last Far Cry:Instincts console game on the 360 that I played was horrid. The old PC version was MUCH better and I'd be happy with that engine running 60fps on the PS3.
