Default Trailer: Milk

Milk is Gus Van Sant's film about the life and times of Harvey Milk, the San Francisco supervisor, who became the first out gay person elected to office in the US. Together with Mayor George Moscone, they tried to bring some change in the city and together they were assassinated by Dan White, another elected Supervisor.

Starring Sean Penn as Harvey Milk, Josh Brolin as Dan White, Emile Hirsch as Cleve Jones, James Franco as Scott Smith, Diego Luna as Jack Lira, and Victor Garber as Mayor George Moscone. Written by Dustin Lance Black. Distributed in the US by Focus Features.

* Hi-Res (21.7Mb)
* HD 1080P (164Mb)

There is another Milk biopic in preproduction scheduled for 2009 from Warner Bros. Attached to direct is Bryan Singer, with screenplay by Dylan Cusman and Christopher McQuarrie based on the best-selling novel by Randy Shilts and sharing the same title - The Mayor Of Castro Street.

Milk was greenlit first and the trailer looks phenomenal.

Is Bryan Singer going to give the lead character an unexplained love child and have the one he loves the most inexplicably married after a short absence?

First, that's a different film which has yet to be shot.

Secondly, my recollection of the book didn't say Milk has a love child or about a married ex.

I think that poster was just making a joke at the expense of Superman Returns which was directed by Bryan Singer

He also knew that, in order to capture such a natural kiss on film, Gordon had cast two people who didn’t know each other and instructed them to kiss for twelve hours. 'Douglas was worried that he contributed to Sean and I having to kiss for twelve hours,' says Franco. 'It wasn't twelve hours, but it certainly felt like it. The first kiss of the movie was out on Haight Street, with, like, 200 people watching, outside. It was a crane shot—I'm sure in the end it will be a really cool shot, but it starts close and then it takes maybe a minute. That's a long time on film with everybody watching and, like, a fake mustache getting in your mouth. It was long enough that you couldn’t help thinking, 'Oh, my God, I'm kissing Spicoli.
That made me laugh.
