Do all Blu ray players upconvert?

Just as the title asks. I know the PS3 upconverts dvds beautifully but do all blu ray players upconvert and do it just as well? If not do stand alone blu ray players play DVD’s?

All play dvd's and all upconvert through HDMI

well that pretty much answers the question! not much to add to that!

One thing though, just to reiterate, would be that no matter what player you get, all of them will make your standard def DVDs look better. Personally, i only notice a negligible amount of difference but to each their own.
