GunMetal PS3 Metal Gear Bundle - Blu-ray Forum

Hey guys!

Ive been waiting a while now, and ended up waiting too long and completely missed the 10,000 gunmetal ps3's that were being sold on Konamis website last month. Ive been looking around ebay and most are priced from $500-999. The guys who are selling for 1k are out of their minds though. I posted a link down below because I wanted to see if anybody knows about the Japanese version of this. The poster says its universal for all languages but Im a bit weary. It even says "for Japan Only" on the side of the box.

Anybody care to chime in and let me know if I should pursue this auction or not? Oh and feel free to bid yourself, i wont be mad.

The only differences between this one and the MGS4 Bundle in the US is that this one has limited edition of the game, gun metal DS3, a 40GB HDD, no SACD playback, 2 USB ports, no card reader and Region 2 DVD playback (BD playback is the same as the US).

You must always firmware update according to the region it came from.

I got the special edition and it looks pretty sweet. lol sorry if i'm no help but the japanese gunmetal should be the same until(if) they ever start region coding games.

hey guys thanks for all your responses. So it sounds like I'd be good to go. It will play BluRay in english, check. Think I should go for it then???
