Honest trophies or cheaters??

I'm curious to know how many people really do their trophies honestly (and by that I mean no kill and die strategie or use a treasure guide to find them all...)

And please be honest on the poll...

I dont see how you can cheat to get a trophie. i wish somebody would let me know i so i can start!!!

i agree all the trophies i have, i had to work to get.

i used a guide to find all the treasures in drake's fortune, i don't see anything wrong with that. i also used chapter selects to get to specific points to achieve certain cheats and then quit out of the game, don't see anything wrong with that either.

and if game companies didn't want people to cheat at all they wouldn't make such dumb trophies like fly into your own ariel mine. what are you supposed to do, drop it, forget about it and hope you run into it later by accident?

I don't consider it completely cheating if one of two scenarios are true:

1) You've already accomplished it just that it wasn't retro, and let's face it, it was a PITA to get it the first time or;
2) It's ridiculous such as "Get killed by 5 mines in one round" Do it deliberately and get it over with. This also goes for trophies where you have to break down a team's infrastructure to achieve it such as the "Warlord" trophy.. give me a break! What a way to destroy clans and create a bunch of meaningless ones that will disappear once the trophy is had.

I consider the above par for the course just to get a platinum. They were put in there because the game developers ran out of ideas so now we have to deal with it so using unconventional means to get them is just another way to avoid wasting ANOTHER hour of my life. I want my trophies, enjoy playing the game, but remember when warhawk did a stat wipe how many people gave up because they put in HUNDREDS of HOURS of game time just to have it all wiped clean. What a kick in the nootz!

I must say that its a pretty stupid trophie.

But I disagree on the treasure guide. For my part I've used a hint guide that was telling me wich treasure was in wich chapter, but with no specific location. It is still cheated... but more a hint than a cheat But that was a more fun way to find my treasure than go back and play the game again and again all along to find the treasure (I had 57 after 3 play through)

As for the kill and die, I'm so sure if its cheat or not... I guess only the games developper could tell us what was intended.

I think trophies are meant to be accomplished by actually trying to get them. If you dont try to run into your own mine it is very unlikely that you will get that trophy.
Most of the time I get them by chance. I beat uncharted 2 times after the patch for trophies (and 2 times before the patch) and coudnt find 2 treasures so I used a guide to find the 2 I coudnt locate. I wouldnt say it is cheating since I put in the effort. I also dont think it is cheating if people only use a guide. They are still getting the trophy, just doing it the easy way. Now if they used a save game data off the net or a friend then that I would call cheating...

I've been using a guide to collect treasures in Uncharted in my on-again-off-again Trophy-only playthough (already beat the game previously with all treasures). There's too many other games to play for me to go through and waste another 10 hours of my life because I missed 1 little twinkle of light on a platform high above my head.

anybody who beats Drakes on "Crushing" deserves all the other trophies they got in the game no matter how achieved, I am only on chapter 4 on crushing, I am stuck and have played 8 hours so far(on hard I was only 2 hours in when I beat chapter 4). I have all the trophies for the game except the one for beating it on crushing and the platinum...to be honest I don't know if I have the patience to try anymore....

The trick is to take your time... hide until youre healed, go out and shout 3-4 bullet... hide again...

i knew this game got kind of weird the farther you got into the story, but what button do you press for Drake to shout bullets, i only could get him to shoot them out of a gun.
