I am a huge fan of The Lord of the Rings and Tolkien so I thought I would make a thread to ask questions and the like about Tolkien and his work.

I have a question I'd like to ask right now about something I never really understood.

Why was Gimli allowed passage to the Undying Lands?

The ACLU file a discrimination suit against the Eldar. They allowed him in and had to pay him thousands of gold pieces for pain and mental anguish.
