I would love to get SLC Punk. Matthew Lillard was great in the lead. The ending was sadder than hell though.

This is not really considered to be a punk film, but I'd rather see 1984's "Streets of Fire" with Diane Lane on Blu-ray!

hell yeah. matt lillard was great in that movie. to bad he only gets crap roles outside of that movie. "punk movies" how about "The Clash Live". I wouldn't care about the video but the clash with uncompressed audio would be amazing. I'd like to see a ton of albums on blu audio. or flogging molly's live concert/docu dvd in hidef. best live band ever.

how about american history x. it focuses more on the racist sect of the skinhead subculture but skinheads are always in the punk scene too. though the boneheads and hammers (racist sects) are not welcome.

awesome movie w/ my favorite actor (ed norton) but i don't think it classifies too much as a "punk" movie......IMO anyway. but hey, i'd love to see it on bluray.

Then i'd have to see Courtney Love in HD. but Gary Oldman brought the good stuff as usual, so i'd probably give it another go.
That movie "Brothers of the Head" would qualify. It was interesting, but i don't know that i'd wanna watch it again. shrug.

I don't know what you think is punk but none of these are it. Sid and nancy while good wasn't even accurate that's why none of the living pistols had anything to do with it. How about social d's Another state of mind. Or suburbia ever seen that. Those are punk movies. I was there back in the early 80's in O.C. And hollywood. Those were the days back then most places didn't book punk bands a lot of shows were at rental halls cause most clubs didn't want the fights and chaos all us punks made. There really aren't a lot of real punk movies out there.

Read, "Punk Productions" by Stacey Thompson. There is a chapter called Punk Cinema. It is not about movies about punk music, but what makes a movie "punk".

Suburbia is an excellent choice also Repo Man, The Return of the Living Dead and for a punk mentality The Boys Next Door

I wouldn't mind seeing the first Decline Of The Western Civiliation Pt. 1. I read sometime ago that Penlope Spheris went back to film a Pt. 3, about the punk scene at the time but have heard nothing more since. I'd give anything to have been around at the time Black Flag, The Misfits, Social Distortion, the Dead Kennedy's, GBH, The Minutemen, The Cro Mags, etc. were just starting out. Those were shows that became legendary. Actually GBH recently played here in Indy this past Tuesday, but due to lack of money I couldn't go.
