Default Sony Music Greece Site Hacked

Quote:
More Sony Corp Sites Become the Victims of Hackers
Written Tuesday, May 24, 2011 by Dan Webb

Sony’s having a rough time of it as of late and it looks like it’s not letting up either, with other Sony properties feeling the squeeze of the hackers.

According to Bloomberg, a Tokyo-based Sony spokesman told them that the third-party operator of Sony Music Entertainment’s Greece website discovered a breach on Sunday and promptly took down the site.

The hack compromised the user information of over 8,500 users, which included their names, email addresses and phone numbers, but not their credit card data.

Meanwhile, Reuters are saying that other breaches occurred on Sony Corp sites in three other countries.

This follows the mass shutdown of the PlayStation Network last month and subsequent attacks soon thereafter.

The question is, how long can Sony put up with these hacks before its credibility as a reliable and trustworthy company has already been thrown out the window.

Not too much longer, we suspect.

So, being attacked by hackers makes one unreliable and unworthy of trust? That's just the sort of ass-backwards logic that we need to teach our kids these days.

Hacks happen everyday, identity theft happens everyday. Sony will rebound. It cost SONY a little less than 200 million for the previous hack, that is small change for them. As soon as they find out who did this and they will find out, we will probably find out things we would not think of hearing.

It doesn't necessarily make one unreliable or unworthy of trust, but it does make me want to insure none of my personal or credit card information is stored by them or on their servers....

In my opinion, protecting their customers data should be more important than it apparently is to them.

Actually when they find him/her or the multiple people doing it they need to offer them jobs because they are clearly better then anyone Sony has on the payroll.
