Latest update? - Blu-ray Forum

I just downloaded and installed the latest update, 2.43, no life with playstation for this one. I didn't get a prompt, like I normally would. What do you get with 2.43? No news on sony's official website. On the offical forum board, you seem to get life with playstation, although that didn't happen for me. I don't notice anything new.

Wasn't a mandatory install, so don't worry about it for now. Only thing it did for me was scare me for a couple of seconds after the PS3 rebooted after the install and reported that no hard disk was found

A simple power down, and removal and reinsertion of the HDD fixed that thankfully
