One of the best films of year for me, but I'm not sold on that art work. I'll be importing the Lionsgate US version once it's released in July.

I wasn't that thrilled with Blue Ruin. It was decent but nothing special for me. Still looking forward to this though.

I expect them to change the artwork closer to release.

This is much more of a straight-up, suspenseful, quite brutal action thriller. It's pretty great.

This leaves my cinema on Thursday so I'm going to have to catch this soon. Everything I hear about this suggests it's as good as everyone says it is.

Watched last week and was disappointed, Blue Ruin was a much more accomplished film.

IMO one of the best new films I've seen at the cinema in a while. Best of 2015 for me. I'll be getting the Blu-ray but I do feel like this is a film you should see at the cinema if you get the chance.

May be my favorite film of the year, but I'm not sold on the US artwork. Your artwork is so much better! But I still have the US on pre-order because I can't wait to watch it again.

I totally disagree preferred Green Room in every way. Blue Ruin was ok but Green Room was visceral and intense and pretty stunning.

Yes, Blue Ruin is visceral and intense and looked much better than this. You must prefer unlikable characters where you don't give a damn about. The "shock" scene was just bad and self indulgent, it really didn't need it, took me out of the experience.
[Show spoiler]Having your arm mutilated like that and getting on with things and hours later putting camo paint on your face and "going to war"...

I don't care if I like the characters or not and the punk band were likeable.

I don't get how anyone can complain about unlikeable characters then praise Blue Ruin. The protagonist in that is about as unlikable as you can get, he acted irrationally and was completely clueless, endangering everyone he could.

I'm also not a guy who thinks the main characters have to likeable to engage with and enjoy a film, it's just a case that Blue Ruin is actively about subverting the genre and portraying the hero as selfish and devoid of common sense.

I think it's crazy to call the characters in Green Room "unlikeable" I think it does an amazing job at making them believably "punk" while not falling into the classic slasher film trap of them just being a bunch of jerks who you hope die.
