Default New Onkyos: Worth it or not?

The new Onkyos (806/706) don't list Burr-Brown DACs like the 805. Can anyone comment on the quality of the DACs being used in the new guys? Am I better off for sound quality getting an 805, or are the new guys actually worth the extra cash?

opinons puh-lease!

I have an 805 and the thing rocks. I have not heard an 806 but at this time I bet there is very little or no difference in what you hear. I have a Sony BDP-350 and I am bit streaming all the HD sound no problem and the reciever is decoding it beautifully. When I have a 5.1 signal I just put the reciever into THX UltraII mode and it decodes to 7.1 channels nicely. I have one 7.1 movie the Forbbidenn Kingdom and it rocks the sound. My PS3 even sends a 7.1 signal to the reciever, reciever will only register Multi CHannel PCM from PS3 but that is because the PS3 does its own decoding but is sending a 7.1 channel to the 805, I never realized that until a few days ago. Save the cash and get the 805 if you can still find one and then you can afford other stuff as well like new movies or a Sony BDP-350. You can not go wrong with the 805. I have not done any updates on it nor have I had to. Got mine from Crutchfield.com. Let me know if you have any other questions.
