I can't remember the last time I even saw a complete music video on MTV.

On a brighter note, MTV2 did bring us Wonder Showzen.

Ever since the original headbangers ball got cut, I haven't watched RTV. I don't think I'd mind very much if they took RTV off the air. Ooops, it's MTV not Reality TV...

Yep. The original Headbanger's Ball being cut was a bad move. Its reincarnation has so many commercials that its barely watchable and they choose that show to advertise Indie releases. They really don't have a brain at that network. Not sure why I typed all of that. I haven't been able to stomach anything on there for many years.

i gave up on mtv when 120 minutes was cut. but i have to say as bad as mtv sucks, they did give post modern mtv and 120 minutes so i can't really complain all that much. i don't like mtv now, but i'll always defend mtv for how it used to be.

So they're getting rid of one of the few shows that actually showed music videos. MTV has sucked for more than a decade.

please take it off. These days it's more about finding good contestants than it is about finding good artists. Karaoke and Guitar Hero are huge, eventually we'll all be virtual rock stars.

Even Much Music here in Canada is a joke now... never see videos on it... all reality shows and movies.

And Much More Music is now the same way... just horrible.

Oh MTV just hasn't been good since they got rid of Beavis and Butthead. The 80's and 90's were MTV's golden eras. It still had it moments, Celebrety Deathmatch for one and Jackass, but the rest is just pure junk. Lets blaim it on Viacom.

it pisses me off when some of my friends actually talk to me about shows on mtv that they watch. I feel the responsibility to tell them to stop watching that crap yet they don't' listen. when does MTV 3 come out? Or do they already have that? MTV 4?

You're saying that Jackass isn't junk?

I suppose that's saying a great deal comparatively speaking.

I have stopped watching MTV back at the beginning of the 1990's when they slowly began shifting from a multi pop type of music on to almost only rap and hard rock music. After that I only watched Beavis and Butthead which as stupid as it may seems was really funny. But that was it for me.

Uwe Boll movies are financially successful.

Care to re-examine your use of the term?

Most people could film some of the stupid shit that they filmed in Jackass, and if they had Knoxville in it they would make money because other stupid people would buy it or go see it in theaters.
