Registering at PS3 Network in Europe? - Blu-ray Forum

Did anyone in Europe manage to get a PS3 Network Account? I use firmware 1.54 and it seems US, Canada, Japan, Taiwan and some other country are available. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

All european people had a chance to register a PS network account ahead of the euopean launch of the PS3, i personally registered my PSN account as soon as it became available as you don't get stuck with really boring names with numbers in if you don't want that

I don't think that actual PS Store europe will go online until the console lauches.

I just tried registering, but it gives an error.

I tried several different names, it just keeps on giving me an error.

I guess I'll register when I have the PS3.

I just registered with a US address. I can't purchase games though (got no US credit card), only download the free demos.

I reckon it's safe to say your PS3 knows which region it should be in, so access to the European network won't be possible 23rd March.

And maybe then, only by PAL consoles

Totally ok with me since it is better prices in the US store

I'll just get a US AmEx card.
