Arrow How do you like to watch your TV?

Live?
Recorded?
Streamed?
On disc media?
I prefer recorded, I hate watching commercials so it's the best way for me.

With my eyes.

Usually.

Sometimes I like to watch it whilst standing on my head.

In my mom's living room (she never uses it) because it's dark and away from my computer so I'm not distracted. It's a small regular TV but it works good for Gilmore Girls.

Recorded. I very rarely watch live TV. The only show I usually watch live is The Office, and that's just because it's the only show I watch with my roommate. A lot of the time if I want to watch a show that's airing at the time I'll wait until it's about 20 minutes in and then watch start watching.

Live, especially sports!

Other than that, I don't watch too much TV.

Pretty much only live. I will record only when I will not be home to watch it. Then again, I only watch a couple shows, that is only two hours a week. They both end next week, so I REALLY won't be watching much this summer.

Same as these guys. I love sports, but I can't watch them recorded.

I'll only watch a recorded show if I'm not going to be home to watch it, and I don't have a lot of shows that I watch with regularity. I really only watch Lost and Heroes, and Burn Notice when in season. Generally, I tend to just kind of turn on the TV and watch what's interesting. This usually means Colbert, Discovery Channel, TLC, Science Channel, etc.

Yeah, I should clarify that I only watch sports live. I would never watched a recorded game, even if I didn't know the result. The only exception was the Olympics since NBC refuses to show most events live.

I wonder how many people are like us in that they can't watch recorded sports (other than the Olympics like you mentioned). If I know an event I'm watching is recorded and not live, I just can't get into it. It's probably psychological.

There was a replay of the Giants game last night that I came across as I was surfing at like 9:00 (my time). The stadium was all bright and under full daylight. I was like "what the heck is this" and then I realized it was a replay. Click. Next channel!

usually recorded if it's a tv show with commercials. stuff on movie channels is fine because it's commercial free.

For any live MMA events I try to give an hour or so head start on the dvr and then ff through some of the down time.

I can manage watching recorded auto races just fine. But, forget about hockey, baseball or football. There is too much of a temptation to fast forward and that constantly breaks illusion.
