Yes, purchased last night but only played two games. I want to see how the Live Rosters are going to work once the season starts. I could not get online last night and the game froze trying to do so. So far I have not seen to much of a difference from last year. I did notice that the graphics suck!

I hated 08, and EA can suck on my left tit for all i care. I was king of 07 on xbl though, even with the disconnection glitch that ended up giving me all of my losses except for 2.

^^ If you like arcade basketball that is

EA is graphics and show, their games suck!

I can't believe how FIFA breaks records while if you set difficulty to max it still is a bad soccer game. It's full of very bad errors, so is NBA Live, it always has been.

NBA2K9 rocks, very good simulation of how the pro's do it!

We should exchange PSN ID's so we can hook up and play NBA 2K9 online.

Game Pro reviewed this game and rated it better than Live, though both games got good reviews.

The living rosters is what I am waiting for. I always hated having to keep up with trades, injuries etc...2K9 does it for you once you connect to their servers, also I was playing some last night and it is hell of easy to score. I have read some issues already like the game freezing online and a couple of glitches. My main beef is the graphics, they suck big time!

I decided to switch games , I thought live had the better demo but i should've know 2k would not disappoint. I went over to my firends house to give it a try and the game play is just how i remebered, smooth and the players reactions are wayyyy better. 2k9 left live09 in the dust just like it has the last 4 years or so

Along with living rosters that Bad mentioned, its got a much better computer compared to 2k8. This makes for a more challenging game on your part, but I was up for it anyways and its more realistic - they more actively adjust to your game. And I think the graphics are way superior to the others and I don't see how you think they suck.

One think about 2k9 too is The Other Season thing that they're pushing. Basically you sign up and pick a team led by a NBA superstar and the best team and players get prizes and goodies. www.theotherseason.com
I doubt I'll be anywhere near the top but I'm hoping my team will win at least haha

Personally I think the game looks and plays great. Again, it's kind of tough at first but once you get the hang of it after 3 or 4 games it's real fun. My only complaint is that in the create a team department, you can't design the jerseys. Those blank jersies look retarded.

anyone have any clue why this game displays at 1280x720p by default? i have a samsung lcd 46inch 120hz 1080p hdtv, 1080p supported HDMI A/V receiver that its hooked to, HDMI 1.3 cables, the whole 9 yet this game displays at 720p. i can turn off 720p in the ps3 display settings but that gets annoying as all demos are at 720p and if I turn that off demos will display at 480p. gets annoying switching back and forth.

any help is appreciated. thanks.
