Default Walmart Curtains?

was looking for curtains online, and found a set on EBAY, and then found while searching, that the seller was just trying to mark-up Walmart stuff, and re-sell it...... either way, at $30 a panel, these will only set me back $150, but the question is........ does anyone know if these are any good???? They're cheap as hell, so I'm pessimistic. Actually going to a Walmart is out of the question, so anyone who has hands-on time with these, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I'd link to the ebay listing to show you (I noticed because he's using the same pictures!!!!!!) but I'm not sure that's allowed here.

my opinion... buy them and then if they aren't dark enough, double them up... since they look freaking nice from the pics... and at that price theres no loss

I've always thought those paintings were hilarious. Dirty old coot.
Btw, i might have to get me some of those curtains. The customer reviews seemed to suggest that they do a pretty job of blocking the light and best of all they're cheap.

I use these curtains and the matching valence around my projector screen to create a movie theater atmosphere. I am very happy with them. I looked everywhere and I couldn't find anything better at that price range.

They look great and I think I'm going to get some.

I have no windows so I don't need them... but they look great and I'm thinking they would also diffuse sound a bit.

I hope my Walmart has these in store,.. I would really be able to determine how much I want them if I could see how the look and feel in person.

Hey,

What's matching valence? I'm guessing it's like a shorter curtain to hang around the top of the pj.
(EDIT - OK... I looked it up and yeah,...that's pretty much what it is.)
If so... how did you find something to match? I would be very interested in getting some custom sizes and lengths to get stuff in parts of the theater.

And... Reporting the fella who took these to ebay makes zero sense to me. If he's smart enough to know that these will sell for higher prices on Ebay then at Walmart he's only taking them from one market to another which is perfectly natural. For a time PS3 controllers sold for more on Ebay than direct from Walmart but there was nothing illegit about taking them from one market place to another... At least ... That's how I see it.

They would not diffuse the sound, they would absorb it! Huge difference I might say

Those look pretty good. I never looked into curtains like those, but I would have imagined them being more expensive that that.

Well,

Absorbing sound seems like it would be good for my rooms acoustics.

I bet the curtains would help. It would be the kind of acoustical treatments theaters had back when I was a kid. (I remember theaters with heavy curtains along the side walls.)

These curtains block out light and heat very well compared to ordinary curtains. I got these when they were $14.99 a while back.

I have these from Wal-Mart - had to order them online and picked them up locally - sight unseen. They work perfectly and look great. My wife is happy, I'm happy, and they DARKEN as advertised. We had some heavy curtains in place before, and they were OK, but these are literally the difference between night and day for our front projection screen in our living room. For our two large windows we bought 4 panels for a total around $84.

I have a blind on the window and the curtain over it. The room is pretty dark. I am satisfied with them. The good thing about Walmart is that you can always return it.
