Persona 5 mystery - Blu-ray Forum

Last week a Pachinko site wrote an article about consumer announcements of Pachinko machine and that Persona 5 is scheduled for Sony's PS3 was leaked out. However, a few days later they removed that part from the article (Playstation 3, [Persona 5]) and we didn't got any explanation of it from Atlus Japan nor did they denied the announcement.

We have seen this before with Tales Of Vesperia and Star Ocean 4 which were scheduled for Xbox 360 when the announcements recently leaked out and got removed a couple of hours after. And Persona 4 for PS2 from Bloomberg's financial report.

Even if we don't have any official announcement from Atlus Japan yet we can probably guess it's set for PS3.
Shin Megami Tensei Strange Journey's mystery platform ended up to be DS. All spin-offs are mostly on handhelds and that have been the case with Last Bible and among other titles on Nintendo's handhelds. Check the Shin Megami Tensei library.

And I doubt we will see SMT IV this gen because SMT III: Nocturne took two generations before they made the third installment in the series. If you own a Playstation 3 you have to look forward to the Persona series as what Atlus Japan did focused on back in the PS1 days when SEGA Saturn got its own share of the cake which was Devil Summoner. Atlus is not only about Persona they have tons of series to stick with unlike other software houses.

Apparently Persona 4 was one of the great JPRGs for PS2 ?

Persona 4 was good but 3 was better in terms of story. 5 would be awesome, especially with PS3 graphics!

It still is(besides Ar tonelico 2). But I so hope Persona 5 is on PS3.

I'd love to see what Atlus can do with the stronger hardware on the PS3. Persona 4 was pretty incredible with its deep gameplay system that rewarded you intelligently for exploring the inner workings of the game rules through persona fusion.

Plus it's not one of those games that would push a ton of action in the background, which (in theory) ought to make things like 1080p visuals possible.

A confirmation of this news would make my day. Persona is such an awesome series. Yes, both 3 and 4 were great but people forget about 1 and 2 (both EP and IS) which were equally good for their day. It's amazing that the series has adhered to such a high standard of quality for so long.

With regards to the whole 3 vs 4 debate, much like Suikoden 1 vs 2, it's a hard choice for me. They're both even when it comes to setting - the bustling metropolis against the idyllic countryside. Similarly, the stories are both quite engrossing. 3 had a slightly better cast of characters and was the first on the PS2 (thus having a more notable impact in my mind - that's always worth something). 4 was more polished however with a more streamlined battle system and greater variety of dungeons.

Persona 3 was better in terms of story however the gameplay was horrible repetative and got real boring real quick. The only reason to drudge through it was to get through the story. There was only like5 or 6 different demons just recolored and there were only like 5 different level designs that were layed out at random like the dungeons of Diablo. Persona 4 was a little better with the repetativeness but there would be like an hour or 2 of cutscene and talking between fighting. Again there were only a few demons recolored throught the levels. Story was good but a lot of unneeded talking.

Best PS3 Game Deals
