***ionsi *** I would buy this to replace my old DVD, but is there a way to watch the Blu-ray with English Audio and no subtitles, please?

As far as I know the subtitles should not be forced. Have never seen any mention of them being forced with the english Audio. But I don't own the release myself. Other titles of Elephant Films have removable subtitles too.

As far as Region-Coding is concerned the BD should be Region-Free (at least it is listed as "toutes les regions" on amazon.fr).

ionsi I shall give it a few days to a week to see if any body else knows any thing, if they don't I shall take my chances, in part before the possibility of post brexit import charges.

Many thanks
Stratford

dreamon-86 that is very worth knowing, that the label don't force subtitles. Is that handy tip in the french forced subtitle thread? I'll just have to see if I can find a second title to share the postage.

Thanks
Stratford

I've just been watching the blu, it is good. There is grain, but films are meant to have grain. Given it's age, it is money well spent.

Watched this tonight. Haven't seen the film since it came out over 20 years ago. Holds up very well. The picture is soft, & the print has some faint speckles near the end. I noticed reds were a bit muted, especially in a scene where Cher is setting up an outdoor party - the roses and table cloths seemed to lack vibrancy. There are a couple long scenes in Italian where it would be nice to have English subtitles. It is a Universal Studios picture, so perhaps may get licensed for release in a North American edition sometime; but perhaps an American company would want a fresher scan.

Where did this announcement happen? Linky if possible? MGM controls Tea with Mussolini in the US, which would explain it coming from Kino Lorber being they just struck a deal with them.

Tea with Mussolini is Universal overseas, where the French licensed their release from.

SpaceBlackKnight yes some one else would know better than I do, but possibly a news letter. K.L. have a good reputation. Hopefully the K.L. deal will include other good titles. Would be interesting to see how pq & aq of t-w-m for each release compare. Extras are a subjective thing, would you go to a movie theatre, and complain that the movie was let down by rubbish pop corn?
