Well for starters - how did they get to a point where they need to be cleaned?

And what is on them causing them to be dirty?

Oh that's not too bad at all.

Just wipe it with a clean microfiber cloth

I use water and toilet paper..the coating can handle regular paper products...sometimes, I even just fog it up with my breath and wipe it off with my shirt...

Simple cotton cloth seems to work very well with Blu-ray discs because of the protective coating. Just wipe it off dry unless the disc is a compete mess. I would not recommend cotton on cds or dvds though.

You could use some of your paycheck money (I read your other threads! ), and buy some 80 grit sandpaper, give that a few whirls, and then finish it off with some 220 or so. That SHOULD do the trick, and leave it nice and smooth.

I can't believe some of the questions asked on these forums, but how to wipe off fingerprints from a DVD is my new favorite.

I sense an ulterior motive for this thread being made.

I'm thinking that might damage the disc
I use a couple of the things from a CD & DVD cleaning kit (the cloth/spray etc. though I don't use the stuff that would damage it). I think they should sell separate Blu-ray disc cleaning kits (ie. some stuff from the CD/DVD cleaning kits are probably too harsh for Blu-ray discs).

I've used water and toilet paper as another person suggested. Just make sure it is completely dry or else you will have water marks next time you use it.
