Hey is anyone on here using towers for the rear channel

Me. Three of em, actually.

For these reasons three:

-Nowhere to mount them on the wall
-Good stands cost a lot, might as well go to floor-standers
-It looks pretty

I'm about to pick up 4 of those Monitor 50s. How do you like them? Would they be a good fit in a large open area of my apartment?

Not bad at all for a pair! I'm holding out for the next blowout that Fry's or Amazon does though - i no longer use eBay.

I don't think any sale will be as good as that one. He's a certified seller of Polk speakers and has thousands of positive reviews.

I bought my 50's from him, they were unopened brand new, and shipping was fast. Great way to go IMO.

eBay isn't an option for me though. I no longer have an account - and ummm...I can no longer open one either! eBay and I had a *minor* disagreement about something like 4 years ago - and they could not be reasoned with.

Yeah - tried that. Worked fine until I tried to create a seller account. Which really ticks me off - my banishment was quite unfair and unjustified.

Hey thanks alots guys i just tried it they do sound good back there but this is only temp for now cause i just moved in to my studio apartment and it kinda suck cause the walls in the back are far apart and i was'nt hearing the bookshelf speaker that well.Im also looking into some Home Theater Acoustic Treatments but i build them my self to save $, so thanks again.
