How often does this happen?

I just purchased "Leatherheads" (not in Blu but as a DVD).

Placed it in the player and it would not play, period. No matter what I tried.

Got up this morning, back to Target to get a replacement. I noticed that there were two different bar codes mixed in the pile of "Leatherheads" DVD’s.

I picked out a movie that had a different bar code than the one I turned in. Took it home and it played perfectly.

Other then Iron Man Blu, I don’t recall having a problem with a movie playing because of a DVD/Disc problem.

not that often

iv'e had a few dvds that have started to sutter and freeze up over time but i don't think iv'e ever ran into one that would'nt work straight off the bat.

Maybe you got one with the wrong region code on it? Could have been mixed up in shipping. Did you have any problems when you went to buy it though? Generally there's only one active barcode for anything that you buy anywhere, and if the barcode is different, it won't ring up at all.

There wasn't a problem. There must have been two codes in their system. It rang up with no problem

It's happened a couple times to me before. Last I remember was Reservation Road. I put in in the player and it would sit forever trying to load. I ended up putting it in my PS2 that I also had and it played fine. It had happened with other movies before that but I never did figure out why.

I know it didn't really help you find out what the deal is, but at least you know that your not alone.
