Default Will this HD TV and DB player do ? HELP

I'm thinking about diving into Blu ray again after briefly having a PS3.
I've been looking at a Samsung LE40A656A and BD-P1500 which come together in a PC world package.

I would appreciate any comment on this set up as i know little on HD and Bu ray. I have been reading some reviews which appear to give it all the thumbs up !

Thanks

Samsung generally makes real good stuff, so I wouldn't hesitate. If the reviews were good and you're comfortable with the price and where you are buying it from, then go for it.

However, have you physically seen the TV at a B&M? I'm always hesitant to buy blind, even with good reviews.

What price are you getting it for?

£949 Though might have to add an extended warranty with these sort of things.

That's a choice only you can make, but I wouldn't. Extended warranties are mostly a rip-off. I would make sure that whoever you're buying it from has a good track record on honouring manufacturer warranties.

Ok, I'm still trying to get some more opinions though. I see alot of Jargon flying about on here. Sometimes even 'listing the specs' for newer movies (Aren't they all the same, will some not work for me etc ?)

Would appear that every BD player or TV has some problems so working out the best one for me is a nightmare

It is all a bit confussing, if you ask me though package deals are deals put together to get rid of last years items or items that are not selling well. I have a Sony BDP-350, hands down the best player out right now especially if you have a reciver that decodes all the new HD sound as it only decodes some of the HD sounds but BIT streams all of them. Samsung makes a great TV, is it plasma or LCD. You really should go and look at them first before buuying, the new Samsung LCDS are very nice but plasma has an over all better picture and no motion blur.

Well after doing some more digging, i think the LCD tv's alright. If anything, the Blu ray player looks the weak link here. I have been looking at a sony one (roughly same price)and one from panasonic (costs more)

But as usual the more reviews you read, the more contradicting info you find.
It does annoy me though when people mark something down because it doesn't do 'this or that' when it never makes any pretensions of doing so.
Its like buying a family saloon car and moaning afterwards that it doesn't feel like a sports car.

As far as i can tell, the BD player i mention at the top is pretty good at what it states.

Does that mean that a ultimately crap player that has ALL the features is therefore a good one

If anyone can suggest some other players at the £250 mark, i'd be grateful

Thinking of adding the Sony BDP-s350 in place of the Samsung BD-P1500

Sound good ?

The Sony should work nicely.
