Resolution set at 1080 on a 720p tv?? - Blu-ray Forum

hi guys, I currently have my ps3 hooked up to my 32" 720p samsung through hdmi. But the resolution was set at 1920x1080 when I was watching transformers on blu-ray. Can someone explain how my tv can display 1080p when it can only go up to 720p??

maybe ur tv supports 1080i?

yes, your tv is converting the 1080p signal to 720p. most people let the source compnent do the converting so set your ps3 to 720p in your settings.

Is your PS3 setting set on manual or automatic?
