Arrow Blu-Ray Drive HDMI Question

Hello all you Blu Ray Experts,

I have a question thats probably quite simple. I want to buy a blu ray drive to play 1080p blu rays. My 2 options are:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106227

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827136154

My question is, im using DVI to connect my HDCP compliant monitor and graphics card, do I have to use HDMI to get true blu ray? I have a nice sound card I want to use for audio to get 5.1. Thanks and let me know if I should go with the LG instead of the Lite on since the Lite on is quite cheaper and I already have a DVD burner, so no big deal about burning.

Thanks!

DVI and HDMI are same thing (HDMI carries sound along with the video) so unless you are planning on using your TV speakers it shouldnt matter. infact they make DVI-HDMI connections and i've never noticed a difference. just make sure to match the resolution of the video card to that of the tv and it should be fine.
