Default The World's Biggest Subwoofer

Royal Device, an Italian audio manufacturer, created the record breaking subwoofer. Two horns made
of bricks and mortar (yes, you read it correctly) are hidden beneath the floor of a 23ft by 29ft
home theater room. Each horn measures 9.5 meters (~31.2 ft) long by 1 meter (3.28 ft) deep with a
2.2 meter (7.2 ft) mouth, and is driven by eight 18.5 inch drivers. Twenty four additional
full-range drivers
serve the other channels. The system can reproduce frequencies down to 10 Hertz.
The designer, Roberto Delle Curti, owns the subwoofer. You can see more pictures at

http://www.royaldevice.com/custom.ht...%20IN%20BRICKS.

I don’t want to hear about Elemental Designs and other sub par subwoofers.
Driver King, you can close your ED thread. I am moving to Italy.

I think it might be bigger than the A7-900 by a few cubic feet, nothing too much. The T-rex in Jurassic Park was an A7 in a suit, as was the Titanic in...Titanic.

Did you see the board that the subwoofers are mounted in? In wasn't very thick nor was it reinforced between the speakers. I can't help but think that those are not very heavy duty subs. Perhaps he could have cut the number of subs in half if he had gotten better quality drivers???

Who knows, you can't really judge sound by the look of a driver, but I would think that the panel the subs are mounted in would flex and vibrate a fair amount. 10Hz kinda speaks for itself though
