http://shop1.frys.com/ShopCartServlet?purchase=5603891

Fry's has the Sony Kdl40w4100 on sale for $1,188 and it has the 120hz

I personally like Panasonic and for that price you can get the Pan Th42pz80u

but if you don't like plasma that Sony is a pretty sweet deal

I recently bought the Samsung LN40A650 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1202649424760 But i bought it from Brandsmart at $1280.

But i am sure you can do price match with best buy, if you find another store offering it alot cheaper they will price match the price.

anyways just giving you a heads up because i made much less for a better samsung model. (my opinion)

Thanks for the welcome!

I love Samsung so that's the brand name that I want to get. Is the link that I gave in my 1st post the right one to get? 40" is what I want and I'll be hanging it on the wall.

I have that Samsung. i returned a Sony 40V4100 for it and i've been very happy. Circuitcity has it on sale for $1099.99, i highly suggest you go see it in the store, plus if any problems occur you can exchange it same day and not go through the hassle of shipping it back to an online store and waiting for a refund or exchange.

Welcome aboard!

I personally have a Sharp Aquos, but I have always liked the Sammys and I think this looks like a good deal. If I hadn't gotten the Aquos I probably would have gone with a Sammy.

Good luck buying and welcome to the Blu.

$1099.99 at CircuitCity???

Do you think if I told BB that they'll match it? The reason why I asked is cause BB would instail it. I'm not good at that kind of stuff.

Yeah, BB will at least match the price, I would also ask for the extra 10% off. I would say that most everyone loves their samsungs... I do.
Welcome to Blu-ray.

I have no complaints on mine. Everything looks great to me, black levels and color accuracy are among the best i've seen on an lcd and the response time is great too. Go see it for yourself at the store. Ask the salesperson to give you the remote, play with the settings yourself and take your time. I looked at alot of different models and panasonic plasmas, i played with the settings in the store for a while before i decided on what i wanted.

If you do get it, here are some settings i posted a while back. DriverKing also posted some settings there too.
http://https://forum.blu-ray.com/sho...t=36086&page=3

And here's a thread from AVS, i used these settings as a reference point for my set.

Now if I do ask BB for the 10% off how much lower would the price go down to if I can get them to the $1099.99 price, also how much do their homer delievery and install normally cost?

I REALLY want this particular Samsuing and planning to buy it asap when I go to BB and just want to figure up the complete total before I purchase it.

$989.99

Typically if they are price matching CC or Frys, they will offer the same price plus an extra 10%, I have a CC and BB right across the street from each other and they both play that game all the time. And when BB doesn't automatically give me the 10% I tell them that CC does and that I want the extra discount, they will give it to you. Only once has a sales person called the manager over to question it.

I say screw them.... I am taking as much of an advantage of them as I can, one of my part timers bought the 40A550 through his cousin that worked there and he got it for like $748 due to the employee discount.

Is that the whole price including deliever/installing or is that just the TV and 10% off discount? $989.99 is one heck of a great price for that brand and size.

BestBuy website has marked down (don't know for how long) to $1,169.99 (it was $1,299.99) I'm heading to BB in the next 2 days and going to buy it. I'm PUMPED up getting it.
