Default Just noticed something in Iron Man

NOT a thread about Cap'n America's shield. For once.

Ok, this is the third time I've seen it, once in the theater and twice since receiving my BD yesterday. I actually noticed this in the extras, and went back to the main title and credits to confirm that
[Show spoiler]Peter Billingsley (aka the kid from "A Christmas Story") plays the lead scientist working for Obadiah on the suit clone in sector 16. Then I notice he is billed as one of the producers as this post from a few months back points out.
Maybe everyone knows this already, but I did a double take.

I just finished watching Iron Man for the second time and finally saw the shield. I also noticed 2 other things...

1. (you can find this one on Wiki) Raza, the main terrorist, has a gold ring with a red stone on one of his ring fingers (ring might change hands).

2. Stane has a gold ring with a blue stone on one of his pinky fingers (appears to switch hands)

Now since these guys are "allies" and Raza works under "The Ten Rings", this leads me to believe that these are two of the Mandarin's rings. I'm looking forward to how his ring's abilities are used, since i was thinking it would be some sort of advanced technological ring.

Favreau said he would take on the Mandarin as a spiritual threat like Sauron and he also [revealed that in the sequel, their version of the Mandarin] "allows us to incorporate the whole pantheon of villains". So maybe they won't have the Mandarin at all, but just represent him with different villains.

As quoted in another thread, Favreau had also noted "Mummy 3: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" as a hard act to follow:
"That one had the Mandarin AND Fin Fang Foom in it!"

Dude, that actually makes me happy to hear. I always wondered what happened to him (hoped he hadn't burned out like so many others), good to know he's doing well.

And also, my friend noticed that one of the extra terrorist in the cave scene is Tom Morelo of Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave. I IMDB'd it to confirm.

I pointed that out to my wife as we watched IRON MAN and she smiled. A Christmas Story is one of her fav movies.

That's funny because I had been thinking that Jet Li would be cool as the Mandarin.

No Peter is best friends with Vince Vaughn since one of Vince's first gigs was a PSA with him about steroids. Their history is detailed in Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show.

Take a look at the extras, it's more apparent there.

Jon Favreau is Tony Stark's chauffeur in the movie.

I looked up some info on imdb.com, and there was a picture of Jack Black with the others in the movie. Did he have something to do with the movie, or did he just show up for the premier?

I don't think an outdated series whose latest completely unnecessary installment which was met with tepid interest at best by the public and scathing reviews by critics would be a very hard act to follow.

that changing of the rings only happens once when jeff bridges character is on the phone after paralizing the main terrorist
