Samsung BD-P1500 firmware 1.4

Just updated to version 1.4 now have BD-Live options etc

Iron Man now plays perfect
Firmware on Samsung UK site the US is still showing 1.3 so you guys shouldnt be waiting long

I just updated the firmware to 1.4 but when I choose "BD-Live" on the Iron Man disk, I get a message saying:

NO NETWORK CONNECTION

Your player is not currently connected to the Internet or is not BD-Live capable. For possible solutions to resolve this problem, please consult your player manual.

However, my player can update through NTP just fine, I can ping the player from my PC and I can see on my router it has a connection with the internet.

In the player's settings menu, BD-Live is set to "Allow (everyone)"

Anyone? Is this a problem with the player or the Iron Man BD_Live site (since I know they had capacity problems)?

Even though Im in the U.S. I downloaded the FW from the U.K. site. Havent installed it yet. I dont see why it wont work here, do you....anybody?

Just an FYI, I'm in Europe and I downloaded the official firmware for my player. But like I said, BD-Live still doesn't work (at least not from the Iron Man BD and that's the only BD I have with BD-Live).

My iron man BD-Live dont work either but transformers, rambo 4 and others that ive tried do.

When I 1st downloaded it, it did say 1.4, and my player wouldnt read the disc. Ive updated the same way about a dozen times. now today it says 2.0 so Im trying it again. who knows!

The UK site is also showing v2.0 now instead of v1.4 like yesterday does anyone know why 1.4 was only out for a day before being replaced

Weird, my Rambo 4 doesn't have any BD-Live features...

I updated the firmware last night (via USB). The information screen shows it is v1.4 now. The download site shows v2.0, but I wonder if that is because it activates PROFILE 2.0 and Samsung just got confused on their own download site.

Now if only I had that Ironman Blu...

Anyone know where there's a list of BDLive releases so I know what to buy next? (It sounds like there's some issues with the Ironman BDLive functionality.)

I upgraded last night also (UK firmware).

I tried using the BDlive feature on Transformers and received the erorr "Your player is not currently connected to the Internet or is not BD-Live capable"


Also does anyone who where I can find out what features are included in each firmware update?

Hey Zippy, I'm having the same trouble, I updated the firmware via ethernet, and when I had trouble getting the BD-Live to work on Iron Man, (or for Iron Man to even work), I updated by CD. Same deal. Then I went to another site (AVS Forum) and some genius figured out the problem. We need more storage with a USB plugged into the back of the bd-p1500. Now Iron Man works again and the BD-Live stuff is WORKING!

Yesterday Samsung referred to the update as Ver 1.4 and today it is update Ver 2.0 and added the information in red below on their website. Today the Samsung site says size ": 38046 KBytes / updated : 2008-10-08"
