Default Which is more important? Packaging or Film?

Let's try this again. This time...let's all try to behave like adults.

Apparently I wasn't clear enough in the poll. By packaging I mean: Particular artwork, slipcovers, boxes, inserts, stickers, specialty cases etc...

If I'm paying top dollar for high def, I want the entire package...so both. However, the movie itself is the real reason I buy them. I always check blu-ray.com for PQ/AQ reviews though.

Its very important that my Blu-Ray doesn't come in a little filmsy slip cover. Sure Blu-Rays have the patented protective coating, but it doesn't prevent snapping!

Therefore if the disc is broken then the PQ/AQ is worthless.

And I must say that 22 minutes from thread start to lock has got to be close to a new record (assuming no political topics in the title).

i really wonder sometimes what you guys do with your blu-ray cases.

mine sit on a shelf, i take them down when i want to watch them, set the case on a table, when im done, i put it back up. even if it is only cardboard (and its usually a very hard cardboard), how in the world is the disc going to get snapped?

Akward angles, heavy objects, and improper storage.

EDIT: Which goes back to my previous statement which the proper storage (case) it will prevent accidents and will increase the lifespan of the disc.

I find that disc artwork is more important. It may be the MOST important aspect of my blu-ray collection.

Of course. That's common sense. We aren't purchasing BD's in flimsy paper slips.

What is more important? The disc itself or particular artwork, slipcovers, boxes, inserts, stickers, specialty cases etc...

The artwork is more important than the quality of the PQ/AQ?

Yeah, the artwork on the disc. That is all I care about. PQ, AQ, or FQ, is worthless to me if the disc doesn't look attractive going in to the player and when I take it out of the player.

Thank you for agreeing. It is not suprising to think that the disc artwork is of the upmost importance.

It's not surprising to think that you would think that.
