Default Newb getting ready to set up a home theater. Reciever + Bose speaker question.

I'm wondering, as somewhat a newb (I haven't had the space or the money in many years to set up a viable home theater, and technology has changed.. a LOT since then lol.)

Anyway, soundwise, I'm getting a Pioneer 1018 and for speakers I'm heavily considering the Bose Acoustimass 6 Series III setup. I'm just wondering if I'll have any issues or incompatibility problems or what not.

Thanks in advance.

OK...all I am going to say is you should not have a problem with compatibility issue. If everything is hooked up properly you should be ok...

As for speakers if you are set on Bose..then you are good to go.

Lol did I open a can of somethin?

I've owned bose speakers multiple times and enjoyed them a lot.

If however you guys know something I don't, or can recommend a package similar to a nice 5.1 surround package with small speaker design (at least design that can be hidden and is out of the way,) do let me know. Heck if I can get them for less then the $650 for the bose, thats even better lol.

Saw these for only $299.99 with free shipping. They don't include the sub, but you could get all six for fairly cheap.

Like an eD A2-300 (in my sig below). That and those Polk speakers would whip any Bose speakers into shape.

Edit: For a 6.1 or 7.1 setup, you could go for one or two of these.

Well there are websites dedicated to the rip off that Bose is.
It sounds good, but in reality you are missing huge ranging of sound, while others are boosted to cover it up. Plus you are getting poorly manufactured speakers for the price. There are many other companies out there that make as good or better speakers for less than Bose speakers.

However this is really only a thing that Audiophiles are concerned with. I am no audiophile, and I say that if you like Bose, and you can afford them, go for it! Otherwise, take a look at other speakers around, you will be surprised.

Otherwise, as far as I know, there shouldn't be a problem with hooking them up.

You are going too here a lot of people tell you stay away from bose ,but let me suggest a company that has been putting out great speakers for years. they have been moving even more further in quality.
I highly recommend them.Reasonable low prices for high end sound

I recommend Klipsh Quintet for small speakers and a nice sub to go with it or even the Energy take Classic.

Lot of Polk fans ah? Well I'll try and find a place in my area that deals them so that I can hear them before I buy of course.

The RM6750 looks like a nice set for $300.
