Default Why is Indy "Limited Time"?

The ads for Crystal Skull flash a stamp over the box that says "Limited Time". This is pretty unusual for anything not a Disney Cartoon. Anyone have any information on what this is about?

It's just the two-disc SE DVD that is limited time only.

The "Limited Time" is in regard to the 2-Disc version.

And while it's uncommon, it has happened with some releases over the years.

Okay... thanks. Do retailers actually pull the product off the shelves after a certain date and anyone know when that is? Just curious. I'm renting not buying, but I think its an interesting marketing campaign.

i worked at best buy for a while, i never saw them pull the product and send it back as of a certain date. usually they just sold through the stock that they had and just didn't get anymore in.

What Benny said.

They just don't produce anymore after the cut off date.

"Limited time" means it will be available until the Indy 4-film boxset is released.

No, it's the studio. Retiring the 2-Discer isn't exactly a new premise.

I don't understand why there's massive confusion about this issue. The commercial never says anything about the Blu-ray being available for a limited time. It's only the 2 disc DVD.

I'd need to see it again to know for sure but I thought the commercial I saw for it had the limited time over the blu-ray box. So, I was wondering the same thing as the OP but after seeing the responses in this thread figured I must have been mistaken.
