Universal Music will be releasing a newly remastered edition of Grace Jones' album Nightclubbing (1981) on HFPA Blu-ray this April, in conjunction with 2CD and 2LP deluxe editions. All of the audio content will be included on the BD.

Oh, man — was I surprised by how great this title sounds. Really, an amazing release. I've picked up a few of the new SACDs from Japan of titles released about the same time as "Nighclubbing" (the early 80s), and they sound positively anemic compared to this release. There is a great dynamic range here, especially in the bass lines that help to drive many of the songs. The sound field is also nice and wide.

A real treat.
