Bluetooth and PS3 - Blu-ray Forum

Hi guys,

Has anybody had issues with their PS3's bluetooth not working? I watched Kill Bill earlier today and shut off the system. Then started my PS3 back up with the remote. Everything is fine.... As soon as I try to select play.... Nothing happens, I figure batteries are dead. Nope none of the DS3s are working. In fact the only way I can get anything going is if I use USB. I can't even get the PS3 to recognize the remote now.

HELP!!!

Have you tried to reset the remote?

I had some issues with a controller that just wouldnt pair. I reset the controller and now its fine!

Give that a go then re-register the remote. Blue Tooth must be fine if your controllers are functioning!

try a rest of the console, see if that fixes the connectivity issue

SCEA tech support suggested for me to do a system restore.

Hell no!!

I did a restart and what do you know it works now.

WTF?!? Thank god there were no red lights

I had a the same problem with my old ps3. It ****ing sucked.

Try powering off the system, then turn the switch off in the back, wait 10 seconds, turn the switch back on, and power up your ps3. It would work for me, but then I would lose the signal after about 40 minutes of using it.

Also, check if you have any wireless stuff turned on at home. I hear some wireless electronics can mess with the bluetooth signal.

I gave up on mine and sold it to my cousin lol. He didn't care about playing it wired. Too bad the 60gig or original 80gig's are discontinued. Got my 80gig(b/c) after this same issue and never had a problem with that one.

Had this happen a couple of times with my 60gb. Flipped the switch in the back to cut it off, then cut it back on again. Fixed the problem.
