I just took the plunge and bought a Sony 550. I want to take advantage of the whole Blu Ray LIve feature. My question is, what sort of ethernet connection are ppl out there getting in order to get a wireless connection?

Just either get the standard Linksys or Belkin? Or is there something else that may be better?

...and another potentially stupid question....
Upon looking on Amazon for a Linksys wireless bridge.... Could I just get the Linksys wireless gaming adaptor? Would that be the same thing essentially? The reason for asking is the gaming adaptor is much cheaper and I am trying to save a few bucks. Thanx |

I just wasnt sure if the bridge and the gaming adaptor where the same.....because to be honest, I am not going to use the whole Live thing all that much. I just want it available to me (mainly for updates). |

How far is the router from the BD player? if it's near by then a network cable should do just find which only cost a few bucks.

![]() Just make sure that it is designed as Wireless Access Point (WAP) and has connections in the back for wired devices. As for brand I would just go with whatever router brand you have as the same compnay tends to play nicer with eachother than mixing brands. |

This is what you want:
http://www.amazon.com/Linksys-WGA54G...4274974&sr=8-4 You could probably get a small router cheaper, but honestly you don't want to go through the hassle of having two wireless routers talk to each other if you're not very tech savvy. camper |

Anyways, I guess I shall go with that. On CompUSA..you can get a refurb for $39. Thanx for answering my questions. I am hugely excited to get the blu-ray player next week at some point (hurry up UPS). |
