Default Blu ray audio question

I was wondering, given the increase in replies regarding the recent release of the iron man blu ray film, there have been some individuals complaining that the sound is too low for the true hd track. I agree with them all. Given this, here is my conundrum...

I find that watchining movies with the true hd track are extremely clear, yet, they can be very low. If I were to watch the dvd version of that same film while using a dvd player instead of my blu ray player, and if I were to use the same receiver I always use with my bluray player, the sound is exceptionally loader for the dvd version. of course not clearer, just louder.

Its kind of disapointing because, I would expect something that cost so much and thats so technologically advanced to be not only clear but also louder simultaneously. For some films I have to pump the voulme up to maximum capacities.

I do releaze that there are other audio tracks aside from this. In fact I perfer lossless pcm, its perfect. But since most studios are giving there blurays the true hd track, its almost as if pcm is obsolete.

I wish there were a happy medium between clarity and loudness.

Does anyone else agree with my thoughts? Do you have a solution?
