Default Slim PS3s - HDMI 1.3 or 1.4?

Do the latest slim PS3's have 1.4 hdmi? I can't seem to find a solid answer anywhere, even Sony's website.

Thanks.

All PS3's have been updated to HDMI 1.4 specs but I believe that only certain features of it are available.

All PS3's have 1.4 now and there is a specific firmware to allow it to output 3d if i'm not mistaken. Remember, you still need a 1.4 hdmi cord to make it work!

That is not true. You can still get 3D video and audio with 1.3 cable.

I know it's not true, I guess sarcasm doesn't get across well online. I've worked for both Best Buy and Paul's TV and they literally try to shove 1.4 HDMI down the 3D customer's throat. It's horrible the things that we have to push across as truth. My favorite is if your tv is plugged into the wall during a power outage, it will mess up and need to be replaced, lol. Oh the lies of retail.

now with the latest firmware on ps3 you can get 3D and lossless audio with HDMI 1.4 at the same time but with HDMI 1.3 if you use 3D and you'll get lossy audio.

if you don't care about 3D 1.3 is fine

there is no such thing as a v1.3 or 1.4 cable

They are either "standard" or "High Speed"

All High Speed cables will work just fine. (as long as cable has no physical problems with it)

HDMI version refers to the actual capabilities of the HDMI transmitter/receiver chip inside of the device itself.

Cables do not contain these microchip's, They just pass along the info.
