Cool. This season has had it's highs and lows..about even. Not as good as season 7 (but I feel like I'm the only one who really liked s7) but better than season 6.

Just like with season 7, I'll wait for it to hit $25 or lower. I haven't watched one episode from this season, so it'll be more exciting when I do get it. lol And even though I LOVE the show, I really think it's time to end it....

Supernatural was renewed for Season 9. And they made Misha Collins a regular again. I'm thinking they're going to focus on the new mythology they introduced this season. I'm with Drewbee and will wait for it to go down to $20 or so, hopefully around Black Friday 2013.

Also the boys are reportedly signed through Season 10 (if network still wants it then) and Carver the new showrunner has a storyline up to the end of Season 10.

now to mark Sept 10th to ensure I have the funds for it when the time comes.

I think season 10 is a good time to end the show. They've done just about everything, take the remaining time to finish this new mythology and any other ideas they have left.

I heard about them wanting to go for 10 seasons, but IMO ever since season 4 it's been going more & more downhill.

I really want to get this!

Can anybody confirm if the blurays of all the other seasons are region free? I would like to purchase the US editions but just want to make sure they will work in the UK. Are they region free?

God damn, the artwork is HOT!!!!!!!! The best artwork yet. I haven't seen any episodes this season so I'll be buying it on Black Friday probably for $20 since the past couple seasons had that price drop.

I'm so glad they're going to have NEW promos for season 9. I was getting so tired of them re-using & re-editing season 6 promos. Like they did for this seasons cover...

I love Supernatural a lot but I agree they need to end it after Season 10. There really hasn't been a stellar season since Season 4. It has been going downhill since then but Season 8 was a definite improvement over Season 7. I'm glad Misha Collins is a regular again because I think he adds a lot to the cast. That being said, they better use him properly and not as comic relief.
Will likely buy on the week of release.

I can't believe there is multiple people saying Season 4 was the peak, as 5 was the culmination of the whole arc and brilliant IMO.

That said, I need to start with 1 again here soon building up to the release of 8. Great show. I've often said I equate Supernatural to pizza and beer. Even when it's bad, it's still pretty good.

I used to be the biggest fan of this show but then season 6 happened. It hasn't been the same since. I still buy the DVDs though. But for this, I will wait till it's on sale for 16.99 at Wal-Mart or something.

It should have ended probably already. The 8th season was the worst yet and that after the really good season 7. For my it's the same as a great season 4 and not so good season 5 but that had it least a strong ending.

I probably wait what season 9 is going to bring if I decide to buy season 8 at all or just leave it at seven. Kind of like the X-Files. Star Trek and Buffy showed that you better leave at seven seasons tops.

I really enjoy all the seasons, but I do wait till Black Friday. It's usually the cheapest at this time. Last Black Friday, the newest season was going for $16.99 (i think).

I hope the show continue on, but eventually all things end.

I really enjoyed season 8. I'm actually excited again for the series especially after season 7 (and maybe season 6). Supernatural is one of the few tv series I can watch and rewatch many times. I will probably buy x-files on blu, but I've only watched x-files once on DVD and never rewatched it.

Agreed. I love all the seasons really. It's going to hurt when this show is over. I hope they consider making movies.

Last year, it got as low as $16.99 for most of the seasons (even the latest season) during black friday. I was kinda disappointed I paid such a high price. Should have waited till Black Friday.

I'd wait till Black Friday. Last year, the latest season dropped to $16.99.

PS- Don't want the show to end.
