The Crucible (1996)

I just finished watching this and attempted to look this up with no avail. I am hoping someone sees this who is involved with production and pushes this to being released on blu-ray; Daniel-Day Lewis and the late Paul Scofield are in this, so why not?

Arthur Miller's The Crucible finally brought to the screen is definitely well worth seeking out. Intelligently executed and brought vividly to life for screen audiences nothing is lost in the transition to celluloid. Pity the studio did not push its marketing machine behind this one and audiences missed out big time on a modern classic. This is well overdue to be brought to Blu-Ray.

On a personal note:
I have been lucky enough to play the role of Reverend Hale TWICE - once at high school and then much later in a professional production.

That is lucky; I would want to play the role of Judge Danforth if I had the opportunity

I really want this movie on Blu-ray to replace my DVD. One of the best retelling of the events at Salem. And I love Witch movies, even the non-fantastic ones.
