Anyone work at a Blockbuster (like me) or anywhere else where they can get stuff early?

I don't work at Schlockbuster, but I do work at a store that imports Blu-Rays and DVDs from the US and we often get sent things a week or two before street date.

i got a copy of CASINO and AMERICAN GANGSTER two weeks before they were released. i know a guy who works at the blu-ray department at Uni. He says it's been really hard transferring over to blu after.... um, you know.

I have my two eBay connections and they ship my new release items 2 weeks early.

I snagged Halloween (Rob Zombie) early, but it came out today.

4 and 1/2 documentary!! Holy shit!!

I work a video store and often snag releases about one week before they come out. Makes me feel special

I work at Circuit Shitty and I often get movies 1 to 2 weeks early.

Well you get them in advance personally if you steal them because the system will not sell them early.

It's never been a big deal for me to try to get anything early. I wait until their release date.

i got my copy of ironman blu-ray about 10 days before release date from axelmusic.com and i live in the uk

I have "Hell Ride" and "Diary of the Dead" on Blu-ray, although I haven't watched them yet.

I also have "Sin City" on Blu-ray (Canada).

I have a privately owned video store for advanced viewings, so I can see almost everything(I want to see) early.

I'd be careful about naming any particular retailer on online store that routinely breaks street date. The studios don't tend to like them doing it and can audit their stock to check and ultimately stop or delay supplying them.

Journey to the Center of the Earth... early rental.... it kind of bites though. No option to view it in 3D (I have my own glasses and yes they're the same as the retail copy ones).

I manage a video store and I get all of my blu rentals 1 weeks early.
If I pre-order my blu's for sale, then I get them on Friday's before the release date.

I should have Journey to the center, Kit Kittradge, Zombie Strippers all by Friday morning. I already have Hell Ride.
