Default I locked myself out of my house today.

Had change in my pocket, when I tapped my pocket to check my keys, I felt weight and heard a rattle, so I thought I had them. Got to my car, woops, no keys. Missed my classes, and my grand shopping spree for Blu's was endangered.

Luckily, a friendly neighbor drove me to my little brother's high school so I could pick up his keys.

Anyway, have any of you ever locked yourself out of your house or car? Do you have a secret key stashed somewhere just in case? I think I'm going to do that now...

funny story, me & a buddy were @ the bar (2 blocks from my house) and went to my house for some reason. my wife & sister in law had stopped a little while before and thought it would be funny to write "RED RUM" backward on the front door.

we were so hammered, when we saw this we both freaked out. we went outside and my buddy locked my keys in the house. we walked 2 more blocks down to my sister in laws house and told them what we saw and to get my wife's keys. we then walked back to the bar to get my other 2 friends, took them back to my house and it was gone!!!

my wife, sister in law, and the wife of one of my friends were in the garage laughing their u know what's off b/c they planned this from the time we left for the bar to start the night off. somehow they knew we were coming back.

LOL!!! I live in the country...I don't think I've ever locked my doors..even with 3 HDTV's, 2 PS3's and 4 computers..

If I DID lock myself out, I'd just pop out a screen and climb through a window...

Heh, a window was open on the second level of my house. I tried to climb up, but I failed miserably.

and Blu-Benny, that's one heck of a story

Hopped out at my favorite pizza joint in Cincinnati one day, grabbed my Calzones, got to the car, and found I locked myself out............................................. WHILE IT WAS STILL RUNNING..........

Locksmith charged me something outrageous to jimmy it open

Be careful doing that in public. You can get arrested.

My son has had his car for 3 months and managed to do this three times. He has the locksmith on speed dial now.

twice this summer. It is all the fault of the patio door that has a hinged bar.

1) my BIL was here for a game night, we went outside for a few minutes and he did not click the bar so when I closed the door behind me it fell and it was locked, so I walked to my sisters home (around 10 min) to get the key and come back to open the door

2) I was BBQing in the back (roast or something) went out to check how it was doing and the bar dropped again, I went over to my neighbour and called my sister who was coming over for supper and asked her to come earlier with keys.

Here in the southern third of Minnesota, it’s fair game to make jokes of Iowans.

Did you hear about the Iowan who locked his keys in his car?
It took him an hour to get his family out!

A friend of my girlfriend (at the time) locked my keys in my car while it was running. She couldn’t understand why I was so pissed at her

Fortunately, my car won't lock itself if the keys are inside it - and as far as locking myself out of my house...I know how to break into that fortress of a house I live in...so, nothing yet!

I live by ASU in Tempe AZ and there is alot of foot and bike traffic. Thank god this did not happen to me.

While I was driving I saw A girl in a cavalier hit some dude on his bike. Nothing too serious. He was yelling and cussing her out. He was PISSED. She is freaking out and starts to cry. She goes back to her car to move it out of the slow lane and both doors are locked with car running. She literally dropped to her knees and was screaming. It was truly a sad sight. I thought " wow, my life really does not suck"

I live in a gated community with a fence that I have to unlock to get to my car, I always make sure I have my keys. If not it's a pain to walk all the way around the complex to get to my car, use my spare car key from my wallet, get my spare set of house keys out of the locked glovebox, and go back into my house.

I dont recall ever locking myself out.

But my brother a few weeks ago went for a jog with the keys to his car in his pocket, while he was running they fell out, he didnt relise they had fell out till he got home...anyway he spent the rest of the day looking for them and he couldnt find them...so he had to pay £300 to get a new key cut for his car...so aint this time he was pretty angry.

Anyway he went back to where he was jogging a few days later and found the key.

I could'nt help but laugh.
